Dr. Eunice Yook is a board-certified ophthalmologist, fellowship trained glaucoma surgeon, and partner at Berkeley Eye Center. She has spent several years caring for patients as a glaucoma specialist and surgeon, and she is excited to return to the Memorial area, where she will care for patients with cataracts, glaucoma and a broad range of medical eye conditions.
A native Houstonian, Dr. Yook was born and raised in the Memorial area and graduated as salutatorian of Memorial High School. She went on to attend Cornell University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. Dr. Yook earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating with Honors and Distinction in Research and membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She then completed a Glaucoma fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in New York.
After completing her training, Dr. Yook returned to Houston and joined Berkeley Eye Center in 2018 as a glaucoma specialist. She has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2022.
Returning to the Memorial community is especially meaningful to Dr. Yook. It is the neighborhood that shaped her and gave her many opportunities that helped her become a physician. She feels fortunate to now have the opportunity to care for patients in the community she has always considered home. Her goal is to provide excellent surgical results and compassionate care for her patients’ eyes, while taking the time to truly listen to each patient and understand what matters most to them. She often finds herself in meaningful conversations about their latest travels, adding new destinations to her own travel bucket list.
Dr. Yook is fluent in Korean, and her team includes members who are fluent in Spanish. Outside of medicine, she is a proud mother of two young boys and enjoys spending time with her husband and family.

- Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) – Including iStent/iStent inject, Hydrus Microstent, iTrack canaloplasty, Xen Gel Stent, deep sclerectomy, etc.
- Traditional Glaucoma Surgery – Tube shunt, tube revision and other filtering surgeries for advanced cases.
- Laser Glaucoma Treatments – DSLT, SLT, LPI, iridoplasty, and cyclophotocoagulation.
- YAG Laser Procedures – Treatment of secondary cataracts and other acute conditions.
- Diabetic Eye Exams – Screening and ongoing monitoring for diabetes-related eye conditions.
- Dry Eye Treatment – Evaluation and management of dry eye syndrome.
