Whitney J. Barker, O.D.

Whitney J. Barker, O.D., is a Certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist at Berkeley Eye Center’s Kingwood location.

After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Rice University, Dr. Barker earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.

After graduation from Optometry school, Dr. Barker completed externships at Memorial Hermann Eye Center in Houston as well as at a practice in League City before joining Berkeley Eye Center.

Dr. Barker served Berkeley Eye Center in a variety of functions before assuming the role of Optometrist. She currently works at several Berkeley Eye Center locations, performing routine eye exams, identifying refractive surgery candidates, and providing pre- and post-operative patient care.

Dr. Barker is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is fluent in Spanish.
