Dr. Anthony Kruger, O.D., has been providing comprehensive eye care with Berkeley Eye Center since 2020. A native of Cypress, Texas, he is dedicated to delivering full-scope optometric care, including cataract and refractive surgery co-management, glaucoma management, specialty contact lenses, ocular surface disease treatment, and urgent eye care.

Dr. Kruger earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Texas at Austin. He also received a Certificate in Business Foundations with Distinction. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. During his clinical training, Dr. Kruger completed specialized rotations in ocular pathology, complex scleral contact lens fittings, and ocular surface disease at the prestigious UEI Dry Eye Clinic. While pursuing his doctorate, he was recognized for his academic and clinical excellence, receiving the Foundation for Education in Research and Vision Scholarship as well as a Clinical Letter of Excellence. Dr. Kruger is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.

Dr. Kruger is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care while building meaningful, lasting relationships with patients. With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Kruger believes that exceptional healthcare begins with clear communication, compassion, and trust. Every patient is treated with respect and individualized attention, ensuring that their unique needs, concerns, and goals are fully understood.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kruger enjoys traveling with his wife, daughter, and their Labrador, Remi. In his free time, he can often be found working on the family farm, hunting, fishing, or cheering on the Texans, Astros, Rockets, and his alma mater, the Texas Longhorns.
