Dr. Erin A. Doe is a board-certified ophthalmologist, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist, and Senior Partner at Berkeley Eye Center. He has served patients throughout the Katy area for over 20 years. With distinguished training from the Duke University School of Medicine and the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Dr. Doe has performed over 22,000 cataract surgeries, 10,000 LASIK procedures, and thousands of glaucoma and laser procedures. Throughout his career, he has managed over 100,000 patient encounters, helping countless individuals achieve exceptional vision outcomes through expert surgical care and personalized treatment.
Dr. Doe’s background is a unique combination of military medical leadership, academic excellence, and a dedication to patient education. As a former Assistant Chief and Director of Clinical Operations for ophthalmology at Brooke Army Medical Center and a distinguished West Point graduate, he brings unparalleled expertise to the Katy community. He spent six years training ophthalmology residents and is an award-winning teacher who believes patients deserve a physician who takes the time to ensure they fully understand their treatment plan. His clinical thoroughness has earned him the TX Top Doc Award and U.S. News & World Report Patient Recognition Awards.
Service is a lifelong commitment for Dr. Doe. In addition to a distinguished military career earning a Meritorious Service Medal, he led or participated in eight humanitarian medical missions to El Salvador, Honduras, and Mexico between 1997 and 2004, providing life-changing surgical care to thousands of underserved patients.
Dr. Doe and his wife, Paulene, are the proud parents of four sons and two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, family games, and time with his grandchildren. He is active in his church community and is an avid runner; for the last 15 years, he has completed a half-marathon with at least one of his children annually.
