Roosevelt Gloyd III, O.D.
Roosevelt Gloyd III, O.D., graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry after completing a Bachelor’s degree at Prairie View A&M University.
Dr. Gloyd is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and National Optometric Association. He is licensed by the state of Texas as a Certified Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
He completed one of his internships at Berkeley Eye Center with an emphasis on refractive surgery, glaucoma treatment and general family practice. Among other significant internships, Dr. Gloyd trained with The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research in diagnosis and management of visual disorders associated with traumatic brain injury in both verbal and non-verbal patients. Dr. Gloyd cares for Berkeley Eye Center’s patients both at its Weslayan and Champions locations.
