Bertrand, O.D., is a Certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist who specializes in performing comprehensive dilated eye examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association and the Harris County Optometric Association. She attended Brigham Young University on academic scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctor of Optometry degree. She has completed internships specializing in oculoplastics, contact lens, pediatrics and laser vision correction, as well as pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract surgery. Dr. Bertrand spent three years as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She was an attending for the optometry students in the Cornea and Contact Lens and Family Practice clinics. Dr. Bertrand currently works as an Optometrist at Berkeley Eye Center, seeing patients at its The Shops Downtown, Katy and Weslayan locations.
